The Fable…

Kat and Clara are both in their early thirties, living in London. Kat is a corporate lawyer — structured, ambitious, and comfortable with pressure. Clara is a UX designer, thoughtful and intuitive, driven by clarity, usability, and meaning rather than status.

Kat’s time is shaped by fitness, professional momentum, and selective socialising — dinners, events, and environments that feel efficient and well-run. Clara’s free time is quieter and more reflective: walking, reading, cultural outings, and creative exploration. They sometimes overlap in interests like galleries, films, or coffee, but without expectation.

Individually, their hobbies reflect these differences. Kat gravitates towards structure and challenge — boxing or high-intensity workouts, goal-driven routines, and keeping mentally sharp through business, law, or current-affairs podcasts. She enjoys good food and wine, but in measured, intentional settings. Clara’s interests are more open-ended and exploratory: design research, photography, journaling and long walks. She’s drawn to books, exhibitions, and objects that tell a story.

Their apartment reflects this balance. It’s orderly and functional, but full of warmth and character. A neutral base is layered with warm tones — muted terracotta, olive, deep beige — and vintage-inspired patterns in rugs, cushions, and textiles. There’s a mix of modern structure and softer, older pieces: clean-lined furniture alongside patterned lampshades, books, and collected art. Kat’s influence keeps the space cohesive and uncluttered; Clara’s adds personality and texture. The result is a home that feels lived-in, grounded, and quietly expressive.
